Who's responsible for your data

Imran Arshad is the data controller for information collected through this site. You can reach me directly at connect@imrannarshad.com with any privacy question or request.

What information is collected

The only personal information this site actively collects is what you choose to submit through the contact form: your name, email address, and message. There are no user accounts, no e-commerce checkout, and no other forms on the site.

Standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) may be visible in basic web server logs, purely as a by-product of how web servers work — this isn't actively collected or analysed beyond routine troubleshooting.

The homepage embeds a Google reviews widget provided by a third party, Elfsight — see "Sharing your information" and the Cookie Policy below for what that widget collects.

How your information is used

Contact form submissions are used for exactly one purpose: to read and reply to your message. Your submission is validated and checked server-side (including a CSRF token and a hidden spam-trap field), then relayed by email — it is not stored in a database on this site.

Message delivery is handled via Resend, a third-party transactional email service, which briefly processes the message content in order to deliver it. See Resend's privacy policy for how they handle data in transit.

Once delivered, your message lives in the same inbox as any other email sent to connect@imrannarshad.com and is kept for as long as any other correspondence would be.

Cookies

This site sets one strictly-necessary session cookie to make the contact form work securely. The homepage's Google reviews widget (provided by Elfsight) sets one further cookie for anti-abuse purposes when it loads — no advertising or marketing/analytics cookies are used. Sharing your information

Your information is never sold. Contact-form messages are shared only with Resend, as described above, purely to deliver your message — and never used by them (or by this site) for marketing.

The homepage's reviews widget is provided by Elfsight, which displays this business's public Google reviews. Elfsight collects your IP address, operating system and browser type for security/anti-abuse purposes only, keeps this for 7 days, and states it does not use this data for marketing or share it with other third parties. See Elfsight's privacy policy for detail. This is unrelated to, and doesn't affect, how contact-form submissions are handled.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what information is held about you, request a copy of it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it's used. Since contact-form messages aren't stored in a database here, most requests can simply be handled by deleting the relevant email — email connect@imrannarshad.com to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how a request is handled.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and no personal information is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time as the site changes — the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
